Diet Therapy
This class introduces students to Chinese dietary therapy and whole foods nutrition. The five flavours, TCM physiology of digestion, the principles of dietary therapy, the energetic properties of foods, the basics of whole foods nutrition, food therapies for TCM organ system imbalances and the dietary treatment of disease will all be taught. This course will focus on using Chinese dietary therapy successfully with western patients. Western foods and cultural preferences will be emphasized.
